From Simulator to Track: The Journey of Jordan Missig

Born on March 22, 1998, in Joliet, Illinois, Jordan is a late starter who defied convention to rise through the ranks of professional motorsports. What began as a passion for sim racing quickly evolved into a full-fledged pursuit of excellence behind the wheel. His path — from Autobahn Country Club club races to championship wins in Radical Cup North America and now the INDY NXT by Firestone Series — is a testament to what determination and discipline can achieve.

An FIA IT-B Silver licensed driver and SCCA Pro racer, Jordan approaches every lap with precision, adaptability, and purpose. Whether training on his simulator or pushing the limits in the #48 Gr1p car with Abel Motorsports, he’s focused on one ultimate goal: earning his place in the Indianapolis 500.

“I started late, but that only made me hungrier,” Jordan says. “Every time I get in the car, I’m closing the gap — and creating my own path to the top.”

Jordan says "I've loved racing since I was a kid. Starting with sim racing, I built a foundation that drives me forward every day as a professional driver.

Today, Jordan competes full-time in the INDY NXT by Firestone championship with Abel Motorsports, carrying the bold teal-and-black Gr1p livery as he continues his climb toward INDYCAR.
